As Usual, I Fall

 At this moment of my life,

I am an utter failure —
a failure no universal force can lessen.

As usual,
let all failures be mine…
just mine.

As usual,
let my pride and prejudice be hanged.

It’s not about saying
I don’t believe enough to pray;
it’s about not having the guts
to accept my fate
as a downtrodden soul.

So —
as usual,
let me fall in the final battle.

Let the angels of God
clap their wings for my defeat.
Let them purify themselves
with the tears dripped from my eyes.

Let me die at last —
maybe, at least.

O dear God,
let me relax.
Let me find peace in eternity.

Just…
let me rest in peace.

P.S.  “Some endings don’t arrive with silence — they arrive with surrender.”
